The mission of the Golden Valley Fire Relief Association is to manage the benefit fund, advance fire prevention and education, and support camaraderie among firefighters, their families and our community in Golden Valley.

There are many ways the organization accomplishes safety and community education including supporting the Fire Department Open House, bellringing for the Salvation Army and collecting Santa for a Senior gifts during the holidays.

Members of the Golden Valley Fire Department are also members of the Golden Valley Fire Relief Association, which is managed by a board of directors who handle the pension plan for the firefighters. This includes managing the annual budget of the organization, overseeing how the pension fund is invested and providing disability benefits for its members.
